what the...

ok...so i'm riding my blue scooter slowing for a turn

a bicycle rider is just ahead of me and asks me..."do you know what atrophy is?"

i say, "excuse me?"

he responds..."do you know what atrophy is?"

still smiling i shrug one shoulder as the road forks and we part ways. i'm thinking, did he say what i thought i heard?

i then wanted to cut through the path...run him down and ask...

"do you know what smug is?"...or
"do you know what jackass is?...or
"you think you're pretty athletic, huh"...or
"what gives you the right?...or
"don't mess with me chump."

i had a lot to think about on the rest of my ride.  xox

It's just the law of the harvest.

Wiseass was probably on his healthy way home to get belittled by a wife who's trying her damnedest to figure out a way to poison the bastard in a painful, yet undetectable manner. Hell, his comment to you was probably just a warm-up for the inevitable daily/hourly asskicking he's in for.

If you're spirits are high, just go to lunch with one of those "common knowledge jerks" in your life who has been either fired, sued, run off the road by a teen driver, etc., and you'll see the same "railroad to hell" outlook. Trust me. This sap has it WAY worse than you. He may not make it through the week or month, but rest assured someone (just like him) gets giddy when they they think of the countless ways he could lose a finger, eye, testicle, ear, or whatever... and if the opportunity to casually assist in this guy's misfortune appears...

Well, I guess can't say anymore that riding a bike makes everyone feel good. I'll have to add a modifier, like, "Unless you're a total ass, riding a bike will make you feel great." Honesty first, right?

Sort of anonymous... If you know me, you know damn well who wrote it. There are just a few people you NEVER mess with...

Maybe he meant "a trophy." Outstanding people ought to be occasionally reminded of their obvious worthiness for tangible accolades of marble and gold-painted plastic.

Oh Cristie. I think you and your cute blue scooter are the greatest thing ever! Never mind the rude and uninformed. Do you now anyone else who shares your birth year and rides a snazzy scooter? I LOVE YOU!
