to dine with friends

Friendship is a single soul dwelling in two bodies.
Aristotle

 A friend is one who knows you and loves you just the same.
 It takes a long time to grow an old friend.
 I don't need a friend who changes when I change and who nods when I nod;
my shadow does that much better.
 I always felt that the great high privilege,
relief and comfort of friendship was that one had to explain nothing.
It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
