something common to every man

last night i slept outside
the North Face my cocoon
pin pricks of light
moon-lit clouds
wondering
my brother in Switzerland
sheep herders in Turkey
old world painters
recreating such a sky

mind wandering
"she is my flower,
and she blooms for the one who loves her best"

last night i slept alone
outside
thoughts of Joseph
and humility

looking at these very stars

the beauty
expanse
this ceiling
of wonder

19And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God?
20But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
21Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.  Genesis 50

wow, those clouds and night sky, wow!

Your words; sleepy, wandering, hoping, wondering, grateful - all in the summer night air - so lovely.
