at last...

You can complain because roses have thorns,
or you can rejoice because thorns have roses.
 Ziggy quotes

I'd rather have roses on my
table than diamonds on my neck.
Emma Goldman

I once had a rose named after me and I
was very flattered. But I was not pleased
to read the description in the catalogue:
no good in a bed, but fine up against a wall.
 Eleanor Roosevelt

Truths and roses have thorns about them.
Henry David Thoreau

I don't know whether nice people
tend to grow roses or growing
roses makes people nice.
Roland A. Browne

Won't you come into the garden?
I would like my roses to see you.
                                                              Richard B Sheridan

It will be very difficult for me to leave my roses for a week.

Chicago here we come.
