unexpected project

i know where it is
that yellow paper
filled with "favorite things"

i plan to just look
through the stuff close at hand
stacks, piles, favorite things

i keep them close
just in case
a few spare minutes

i love to read
strewn across my bed
reshuffle, organize, pretend

i still can find that paper
but, that marble book
is calling my name
